Numan is changing the way men look after their health and wellness. It’s a decades-old problem: men aren’t seeking the healthcare that they need. Our survey showed that modern-day society is yet to conquer this worrying trend. It revealed that 4 out of 10 men haven’t visited a doctor in over a year, and 1 out of 10 can’t even remember the last time they saw a doctor.
We’re building a platform that gives men direct access to medical professionals, pharmaceutical products, and the knowledge to make informed choices about their health. Our mission is to help men across the world live healthier, happier lives with Numan as their trusted, long-term partner for all things relating to their wellbeing.
Our aspirations are big - we recently raised Series B funding, working with industry-renowned, top-tier investors including White Star Capital, Novator, Anthemis and Vostok New Ventures. This massively accelerated our growth in 2021, and we have ambitious plans for further growth in 2022. We’re looking to expand our world class team to help us achieve our mission, and we’re looking for the right people to work with us to make this vision a reality.
You will report to the Chief Finance Officer advising on a variety of legal and regulatory topics. You’ll be managing one paralegal and will work closely with the law firms and external counsel that advises the company. You will work closely with the Chief Medical Strategy Officer.
Your mission at Numan
This is a business, technology and healthcare focused position, working closely with the growth, creative, pharmacy, operations, HR and medical teams. You will negotiate an exciting range of commercial agreements, pertaining to the company's healthcare, media, and technology development activities as well as corporate financing and fundraising activities. You will need to understand and mitigate legal and regulatory risk, while negotiating the likes of SaaS, data processing, content distribution/production, services and digital marketing agreements. You will support the business as it continues its services expansion in new markets, providing commercial, risk, data privacy and intellectual property expertise as you go. As a senior lawyer in the business, you will regularly need to communicate with decision-makers across the business.
We work with a number of partner law firms that advise us on specific projects, for example advertising, IP and consumer contracts. You’ll be expected to liaise with these firms and ensure that we use them effectively whilst helping the business to grow rapidly.
Numan is committed to training and development of the workforce and aims to be a destination employer. We would welcome applicants that want to develop a training practice and supervise trainees in the future.
You will be a UK, Commonwealth or Europe qualified lawyer with at least 9 PQE (as a guide), and demonstrable experience in healthcare, technology, life sciences, content and media. In-house experience is greatly welcomed. The ability to manage stakeholders at all levels is important and any people management experience will also be viewed positively. A passion for all things digital and healthcare will go a long way to establishing cultural fit.
