Numan is a leading digital provider of men’s health. We are on a mission to improve men’s health and wellbeing. We offer treatment for a range of conditions mainly focussed on men, but rapidly expanding. We are in search of an enthusiastic, motivated prescriber, with a passion for digital health to join our growing team. We are looking for non-medical prescribers who are qualified to practice in the UK to help us provide high quality remote prescribing services.

This role may suit a clinician who is looking gain more experience in digital health. We would encourage applicants who want the flexibility of working from home and are able to commit to at least 2 days per week. We are offering contract or permanent positions with flexible working.

About the role:

The Numan Prescriber will conduct remote consultations with patients through our online consultation platform, communicating via asynchronous messaging and pre-booked telephone consultations.
The role involves undertaking consultations and prescribing for patients presenting with hair loss, erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, asthma, acid reflux and also those seeking smoking cessation. You would be expected to prescribe within your clinical competence and in accordance with our standard operating procedures. The prescriber will use our online consultation platform to make remote prescribing decisions and to review blood test results.

Key Responsibilities:

The Numan Prescriber will:

  • Assess and manage patients remotely
  • Prioritise and monitor clinical workload which includes prescription requests and patient queries
  • Review and report on diagnostics such as blood tests results 
  • Maintain patient records with detail, accuracy and efficiency
  • Flexible approach and ability to prioritise work tasks effectively
  • Implement learning from any incidents and complaints
  • Suggest ways of improving the patient and clinician experience
  • Provide high quality clinical care aligned with national guidelines.
  • Proactively identifies and voices concerns about clinical risks.
Candidate requirements:
  • Ability to make clinical decisions
  • Clinical practice in a remote or digital health environment, for example providing remote care in urgent care or primary care, but could also include in an acute care setting
  • Effective communication skills with patients and colleagues, Medicine Information skills desirable
  • Engage in appropriate professional development activities in order to maintain clinical competence and performance
  • Interest in digital health
  • Registered with professional body in the UK (e.g. GPhC or NMC)
  • Minimum 4 years post-registration experience
  • Non-medical prescribing status essential
  • Have a background in general practice, primary care, secondary care or online health
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English; and Excellent IT skills

Education Training and Development:

  • Engage in appropriate professional development activities in order to maintain clinical competence and performance
  • Undertake mandatory and statutory training
